So if you’re here, it’s probably because you’ve come from one of my other projects. I’ve been blogging for years (and will continue to do so) over at my company’s site. So the obvious question is…why write here?
Great question and it’s one I’ve been wrestling with for several months. Here are a few reasons I’ve decided to start writing here as well:
- It’s time to separate Accidental Creative from me. As the business has grown up, what began as the singular vision of a passionate entrepreneur (me!) has become a much more collaborative effort. Yet I’m still the primary voice and face of AC. It’s time for AC to grow up.
- AC can’t encompass everything I’d like to say. I often find that there are things I’m passionate about or want to share that aren’t appropriate for the AC site. This site will allow me to get off-topic on occasion and simply share things that are inspiring or challenging me. (This is often why I disappear off the radar on the AC site for a while – what’s going on in my world doesn’t necessarily mesh with the content/focus of the AC site.)
- I wrote a book. Oh yeah…have I mentioned that? I have a book coming out this July, and I want to be able to share some of the lead-up to the launch with readers. What’s it like to prep/launch your first book? Let’s find out together.
I’m very excited to be sharing more here! Of course I’ll be writing about creativity, organizations, etc., but won’t be confined to those topics. It’s a refreshing change of pace.
